Vajrayogini Practice

When I speak of Vajrayogini, I do not speak of a deity who is far away. I speak of the fire in your belly, the clear light in your heart, the fierce love that refuses to compromise with ego. Vajrayogini is not someone I worship—she is someone I remember. In her mirror, I see the truth of my own nature.

The first time I truly felt her presence—not as a symbol or visualization, but as a living, breathing current—I was on retreat. The edges of self and world grew soft, and in that moment of raw vulnerability, she appeared—not above me, not outside me, but through me. Vajrayogini is not an escape from this body or this life—she is the gateway into their deepest truth.

The Practice of Vajrayogini: Entering the Wisdom Flame

Vajrayogini is the essence of the Great Secret—the union of bliss and emptiness. In this practice, we do not merely seek refuge in a higher realm. We cut through duality with the blade of gnosis. Every syllable of the mantra, every syllable of the sadhana, is an invitation to die to our fabricated self and awaken into radiant, fearless presence.

Her body is ruby red, yet beyond color. Her laughter cuts through illusion. Her wisdom fire burns what no longer serves. She is not safe—but she is utterly liberating. She asks everything of you. And she gives everything in return.

Embodiment of the Dakini

For women—especially those who have felt unseen or unspoken in the traditional structures—Vajrayogini is a mirror of sovereignty. But her power is not limited by gender. She calls to all who long to awaken. Her dance is naked, not for display, but for truth. Her ornaments are bone, not for horror, but for remembrance of death. And her path is not linear. It spirals inward.

To practice Vajrayogini is to commit to the path of inner flame. It is to say yes to the dakini whispering in your marrow, to the fierce tenderness that will not turn away from suffering, your own or others’.

Transmission and the Ear-Whispered Lineage

The Vajrayogini I offer is not one found in books alone. She is carried in the whisper of the lineage, in the breath of direct experience passed from heart to heart. The transmissions I received from my root lama, His Holiness the Ninth Khalkha Jetsün Dampa, were not merely ritual—they were life-altering encounters with primordial wisdom.

In our Dakini’s Whisper sangha, Vajrayogini is not just practiced—she is embodied. Through the Five-Level Chö Mastery Journey, subtle body integration, and retreat guidance, we approach her not with egoic ambition, but with devotion and trust.

Entering the Inner Mandala

If you feel her call, it may not arrive with fanfare. It may come in a dream, a silence, or a moment of brokenness. Listen. Vajrayogini does not wait for us to be ready. She meets us where we are, if we meet her with sincerity. Her sadhana is precise, yes—but it is also an unfolding of our deepest, most luminous truth.

“This path is not for the faint of heart, but for the tender-hearted—those willing to burn away illusion and dance, naked and free, in the truth of their own luminous being.”
